Derivation |
HCC1395 BL is a B lymphoblastoid cell line initiated by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) transformation of peripheral blood lymphocytes obtained from the same patient as the breast carcinoma cell line HCC1395.
The cell line was initiated from a 43-year-old white female with a TNM stage I, grade 3 primary ductal carcinoma and a prior history of cancer; her mother had breast cancer. |
Subculturing |
Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension in fresh medium at 5 x 105 viable cells/mL. Maintain cultures at cell concentrations between 5 x 105 and 2 x 106 viable cells/mL.
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density). |
