Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--2.5, 0.4; EcoRI--3.0; HindIII--3.0; EcoRI/HindIII--2.4, 0.5; SalI/EcoRI--3.0. The insert contains the complete coding sequence plus 5' (about 56 nucleotides) and 3' (about 110 nucleotides) of non-coding sequence. There is an APOC1 pseudogene 6 kb 3' to the functional C1 gene. The insert detects two mRNA species of 580 and 560 bases. |
